Larissa Reyes

Regional Director

Larissa is a distinguished lawyer, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. She holds an LLM in Human and Humanitarian Rights and an MA in Public International Law, both with distinction from Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II. Larissa has over 9 years of experience in human rights, gender issues, migration, human trafficking, refugees, public policy, and strategic litigation within the Inter-American Human Rights System. She teaches human rights and women’s rights at several universities, including UNAH, UJCV, and UNITEC, and has published numerous scientific articles on these topics. Her past roles include serving as a UN Women consultant to establish the Secretariat of Women’s Affairs in Honduras and General Director of Legal Affairs at the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She has also worked as a Legal Advisor for a regional anti-human trafficking project with Lawyers Without Borders Canada and interned at the Permanent Mission of Honduras to the United Nations Office in Geneva, underscoring her commitment to advancing human rights and gender equality.
