On February 27, 2025, the Museum for National Identity (MIN) and Optio inaugurated the powerful photography exhibition “Entre mis Cicatrices” , shedding light on the resilience of Honduran women who have faced criminalization following obstetric emergencies. The exhibit, featuring 25 photographs and personal belongings, humanizes the stories of these women and emphasizes the urgent need for safe and dignified reproductive health services.

The opening event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, Ciudad Mujer, the Honduran Institute of Social Security, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), UN Women, and the United Nations University for Peace.

The National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) also lent its support through the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medical Sciences, aiming to foster academic discussions on this critical issue.

The temporary exhibition will be available in Tegucigalpa until March 30, 2025. Following this, it will become a traveling exhibit as part of the MIN Suitcase Project, reaching various parts of the country. A permanent version will remain open to the public in Tegucigalpa through the end of 2025.
